For over 20 years, our customers have known that Learning Gizmos is not your typical teacher store. We strive to go the extra mile with our commitment to customer service and innovative programs offered exclusively at Learning Gizmos.
One of the programs we started a couple years ago was Sensational Seniors. Laura (now living in Florida) wanted to expand Learning Gizmos’ reach to the senior market and began hosting our popular game events in churches, rec centers, 55+ communities, business offices, fitness centers – any place seniors went – she went! During this time, Laura discovered many “seniors” just want to be with their families, socializing and having fun, a MULTI-GENERATIONAL experience. So, to be more inclusive of our customers, we changed the name of Sensational Seniors to Learning Gizmos – Family!
With Learning Gizmos – Family, we are able to offer more family-friendly activities and games than the products we offer to schools. By providing a great alternative to “electronics,” we can help people of all ages spend more face-to-face time socializing and creating bonds with family, friends, and coworkers.
Where does Learning Gizmos – Family go from here?
Anywhere families gather – and we use the term “families” in the broadest sense of the word. Families can include: work, school, church and home. Our goal is to bring everyone closer together through game play. What “family” would you like to spend more time with? Contact Laura – she will help you make it happen.
Laura has cohosted Multi-Generational Game Events at the First United Methodist Church of Lakeland (3 events actually – Neighborhood Ministries, Wednesday Family Dinners, and the Senior Adult Ministry), Haka Fitness, First Presbyterian Church of Lakeland – Parents with Small Children, Ladies Night Out in Lakeland with My Office Space, the Kiwanis Club of Mulberry and many more.
Lakeland Downtown Farmers Curb Market – Learning Gizmos – Family has been granted a part time booth at the Farmers Curb Market! Saturdays from 8 am – 2 pm. Follow us on Facebook for dates we will be at the Market! Come on over and check out our great games.
